2023 ACA FFM Certification and Training

If you are a new agent or broker who does not already have a CMS Enterprise Portal Account, follow these steps to create a CMS Enterprise Portal Account and your agent/broker profile on the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS):
All agents and brokers should follow these steps to complete Plan Year 2023 registration and training after they have completed the above steps:

1. Log in to the CMS Enterprise Portal at https://portal.cms.gov
2. Request the Agent and Broker Training Access Role.
3. Complete Remote Identity Proofing through the Identity Management (IDM) System.
4. Complete the Agent and Broker Profile on the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS) via the CMS Enterprise Portal.
5. Complete Marketplace Training on the MLMS or through an HHS-approved Vendor via the CMS Enterprise Portal.
6. Read and Accept the Applicable Marketplace Agreement(s) on the MLMS.
7. Confirm Completion of all Registration Steps by logging back into the CMS Enterprise Portal and printing the Completion Certificate.

 
If you are a returning agent or broker who already has a CMS Enterprise Portal Account and completed certification last year follow these steps to renew your certification on the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS):
All agents and brokers should follow these steps to complete Plan Year 2023 registration and training after they have completed the above steps:
To participate in the Marketplace for Plan Year 2023, agents and brokers must complete the following actions:

1. Update the Agent and Broker Profile in the MLMS via the CMS Enterprise Portal.
2. Complete Marketplace Training on the MLMS or through an HHS-approved Vendor via the CMS Enterprise Portal.
3. Read and accept the applicable Marketplace Agreement(s) on the MLMS.
4. Confirm completion of all registration steps by logging back in to the “Agent and Broker Registration Status” page on the CMS Enterprise Portal and printing the completion certificate.

Throughout the registration process, you can use the Marketplace Registration Tracker to track your progress. For Plan Year 2023, training is not available through America’s Health Insurance Plans, Inc. however HealthSherpa will be offering no-cost certification with CE credits.
