Wellabe Short-term Care plan details
- Issue ages: 40-89
- Unisex rates
- Varying level of benefits available,
- Essential Care Plus Plan- $10-$300 per day (no significant health
issues).
- Essential Care Plan- $10-$150 per day (may have some health issues
- Essential Care PLUS only) Restoration of benefits, One-time HHC and one time facility, 2x Max
- $500 Household Improvement indemnity benefit included
- $500 Care Coordination indemnity benefit included
Where can you sell Wellabe Short-term Care?
Household Discounts
- 7% for an individual qualifying applicant who lives with someone over 40 years old
- 14% for any 2 household applicants who apply and are issued together on Essential care plans or Essential Care Plus
- Multiple policy discount of 5% for any applicant that already has a Wellabe Medicare Supplement policy
- Max 5% discount for any policy with a limited benefit rider
Optional add-ons
- The Nursing Facility Care rider allows you to elect a daily benefit up to $500 per day for up to 360 additional days of care in a facility. The rider also includes a 21-day bed reservation benefit that pays the daily amount to hold a care facility room during a hospital stay. You can also choose the Nursing Facility Care Rider with Inflation Protection
- The Inflation Protection Benefit rider allows you to add inflation protection to the base Home Health Care Benefit. The Inflation Protection Benefit increases the daily benefit amount by 5% of the original daily benefit on each policy anniversary
- The Adult Day Care rider pays $50 per visit for up to 20 visits to an adult day care setting
- The Return of Premium rider allows a portion of the premium to be returned if the policy is terminated
