HR and Accounting Manager
Serena is a beach girl born and raised in Wilmington, NC. She attended UNC Charlotte for a year, but ultimately decided to transfer to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she obtained a degree in Communication Studies. After graduation, Serena started working as the manager of Charlotte’s Boutique. A couple years later she transitioned to becoming the manager at Nest Fine Gifts & Interiors.
As much as she would miss the beach, she decided to move to Raleigh in 2011, and she started working at TMG in the Spring of 2012. In March she will have been with us for 10 years! A typical day for Serena, as our HR and Accounting manager, consists of handling all things money and employee situations as well as handling agency commission relations. She also plans all of our TMG Top Producer Trips.
Joining the company at such an early stage in growth, Serena played a crucial role in creating the commission structure for TMG. She is driven yet gracious, and as her role has evolved over time, she has worn many hats. Serena loves that she has been here since the beginning and has been able to see how much the company has grown.
While you may not expect it, Serena can be described as daring and enjoys boating and water sports as well as getting a good Burn Bootcamp workout in. Recently, Serena and her husband have been focusing on renovating and moving into their new house before their little one gets here this Winter! She has a Shiba Inu named Nixon and will be adding a little girl to her family soon! You can find Serena at Dos Taquitos for dinner and grabbing some Fresh ice cream for dessert after.
